Global Education Squads improve educational outcomes by creating inspiring learning spaces in schools.

Global Education Squads

Enrichment projects may include:

  • Building or providing shelves, chairs, tables, storage cabinets, bulletin boards for classrooms
  • Providing computers, laptops, hardware, and software for computer labs
  • Refurbishing or constructing indoor and outdoor recreational and play spaces
  • Designing and painting educational murals
  • Supplying books, posters, and educational supplies for classrooms

Global education volunteers will be able to:

  • Describe the education system of the host country
  • Provide effective classroom support for local teachers
  • Complete much-needed small construction projects and donations requested by the school

  • Building shelves, chairs, and tables for libraries
  • Designing and painting educational murals

Global education volunteers will be able to:

  • Describe the education system of the host country
  • Access a student’s language level relative to age-appropriate benchmarks
  • Provide effective language or literacy support and instruction

In addition to hands-on volunteer activities, Squad programs include professional guest speakers, educational workshops, cross cultural sensitivity training, and engaging cultural activities.  Base programs are one-week in duration.  Additional add-on adventure activities and overnight excursions to exciting in-country destinations also available.

Volunteers make an Individual Program Contribution of $990 per week to cover all their in-country expenses, including a stay at our safe and private Home-Base accommodation.  All meals, transportation, staffing, and emergency medical insurance are included. Additionally Squads fundraise towards a Group Project Contribution of $1500 or more.

Squads may be comprised of 5 or more students and require a minimum of one adult/chaperone for every five students enrolled.  Individual Program Contributions are free for all required chaperones.
